     If you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tallapoosa River, and Coon Creek is near Yates Reservoir and is always a delight to have a look at. Yates Reservoir gets lots of water; most of the rain falls through March; the driest month is October. For the duration of the warm months at Yates Reservoir highs are regularly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. Daytime highs all through  
   the winter are in the 50's, and nighttime lows throughout the wintertime for Yates Reservoir tend to be in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Tallassee Sewage Disposal Pond is a fine lake near Yates Reservoir; why not explore Yates Dam since you're here.
Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center is a pleasant place to get some rest; Yates Reservoir is a place with many visitors from Tuskegee. And that's not all you can do here at Yates Reservoir. Stone Creek is
