There's so much to do here at Woods Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Good Hope Campground is a great location for that. There are other locations here than Woods Lake, for example McCay Lake, and Comfort Inn Hanceville is a good place to get some rest. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Woods Lake. A quick spree to Cox Creek right next       door to Woods Lake is a nice idea, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Gardendale Inn. A lot of rainfall falls at Woods Lake; the wettest month of the year is typically March, that's the one that rains the most, and October is the month with the least moisture. There are plenty of folks from Cullman here at Woods Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Plantation Golf Club. You'll need more than                  a day to look at everything Woods Lake has to offer, you can camp at Country View RV Park. Why not check out Marshall McCay Lake Dam while you're here, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Mulberry Fork. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Woods Lake, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's.
