     Dry warm beds await you at Country Hearth Inn Madison. There's so much to do here at Williams Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Monte Sano State Park is a great location for that. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Lady Ann Lake is nearby. So much cool stuff right next door to Williams Pond, clearly mind-boggling. If you need a spot to stay Radisson Inn Huntsville Airport is a magnificent choice; do take a look at Betts Spring Branch since  
   you're here at Williams Pond. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Williams Pond has to offer, you can camp at Ditto Landing, and at Williams Pond you always meet someone from Huntsville.
This lake is so wonderful. Swamps like Bailey Swamp are fun to check out, and get covered with water paddling on Cotaco Creek. Swan Pond is a great lake near Williams Pond, and one of the major marks of the surroundings of Williams Pond is Betts Mountain. There's
 
               some attention-grabbing stuff to catch a glimpse of at Mary Ann Drake Dam in close proximity to Williams Pond; don't leave Williams Pond without first paying a visit to Betts Spring.
Williams Pond is a wet place that gets a large amount of rainfall; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and August on the other hand is the driest. At Williams Pond through the summertime highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Williams Pond fall into the 20's.

This lake is now Sun Lake and is a private community lake for residents. It used to be one of the best public pay access lakes in the state for large bass. Was more of a spring fed swamp back then and has been blasted and manicured with apartments and homes (waterfront) The old spring house and the original dam are still in place. Small boat ramp is available to residents no outboards electric only....
