West Lake is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from West Lake, you'll stumble on Mountain View Lake which is a striking lake, and you can stay the night at Leesburg Resorts. There's some flowing water nearby, Little Wills Creek is a stream you can take a look at during your stay; a great nearby hotel is Best Western Rainsville Inn. So much amusing stuff to do at West Lake, so little time. You'll need more than a day to explore

in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at West Lake temperatures sink to the 20's. Do go to West Dam if you're here at West Lake, and Dugout Valley is beyond doubt a great spot to stop at. West Lake is a reasonably
wet place frequently with a lot of rain; through the month of March you get the most rain around here, and October on the other hand is the driest. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Johnnies Creek, and the beauty of mother nature
reveals herself at Griffin Falls. There are other locations here than West Lake, for example John Gilbreath Number 1 Lake, and Little River Canyon National Preserve is a perfect local destination.
