Terrapin Creek nearby is also a good place to go paddling/fishing. Best places to stay are private rental properties on the lake. Sure, Helms Lake is in close proximity. If you need a spot to stay Days Inn Of Centre is a wonderful choice, and there are some good whitewater spots on Wolf Creek. The scenery at Weiss Dam next to Weiss Lake is charming. Little River Canyon National Preserve is a great place in the neighborhood of Weiss Lake, and why not camp at Bay Springs Campground while you're here at Weiss Lake. Not       enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Lake Weisner is a great lake close to Weiss Lake, and Tillery Cove is not far at all. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Weiss Lake. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 60's. Highs during the winter are generally in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Weiss Lake. Weiss Lake frequently gets much rain; most of the rain falls all through March; October on the other hand is the driest. This                  lake is so wonderful.
