Walker County Lake is a wet place that gets much rain; through the month of March you get the most rain around here, and August meanwhile is the driest month. Stay the night at Richard's Clearwater Marina, and get covered with water paddling on Blackwater Creek. Now, you may think that's a load but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Walker County Lake. Not far from Walker County Lake, you'll discover Sims Ponds       which is a pretty lake, and for you golfers we recommend close by Arrowhead Golf Course. Bates Creek is a great place to visit, and a splendid nearby hotel is Jasper-Days Inn. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Walker County Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sleepy Holler Camp Ground is a wonderful spot for that; if you need a site to stay Jameson Inn Jasper is a delightful choice. During the summer at Walker County Lake                  temperatures are usually in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's, and nighttime lows at Walker County Lake throughout the wintertime mostly sink into the 20's.
