Neeley Point is close by and always good to stop at. Throughout the warm days of summer at Waites Lake highs are mostly in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. Highs through the winter are commonly in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Waites Lake. Waites Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month of March is the wettest with most of the       rain; October is when it's the driest. A glorious spot to pop by close to Waites Lake is Hale Gap, and whitewater paddling is pleasant on Jones Creek. Little River Canyon National Preserve is a very wonderful site to explore in the vicinity of Waites Lake, and Crawford RV Park is a nice campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. The Pinnacle is an out of the ordinary site to pop by while at Waites Lake, and some of the water close by flows, like Jones                  Creek. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a magnificent time here at Waites Lake. You're almost certainly addicted to lakes, Clarks Lake is one of those close by, and if you came for an overnight stay Green Acres RVs Park is a brilliant location to camp. Lakes are tremendous; Bucker Pond is a lake that's near Waites Lake, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a magnificent site to spend a night or two. Waites Dam is pretty and it's in the vicinity of Waites Lake; dry warm beds await you at Jameson Inn Scottsboro. This lake is so wonderful.
