A golf course in close proximity to Vandegrift Pond is Heritage Golf Course, and in case you don’t mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Gulf Creek. Vandegrift Pond regularly gets much rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month                  is October.
