Upper State Lake is a reasonably wet place usually with a lot of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is March, and October is when it's the driest. For the duration of the months of summer highs here at Upper State Lake get into the 90's; all through summer nights temperatures are       in the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are commonly in the 50's; during the dark hours in the winter at Upper State Lake temperatures dip to the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Upper State Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Cheaha Resort State Park is a brilliant local campground, and if you get bored of Upper State Lake you could also stop at nearby Lake Virginia. You don’t have to go far from Upper State Lake to make out the                  water at Upper State Lake Dam; camping at Fernwood Point is always a tremendous experience. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things right next door to Upper State Lake. Clay County Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and going for a hike along the Odum Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. You'll meet a lot of folks from Anniston-Oxford here; Sleep Inn Oxford is a great spot to get some rest.
