Lake Catoma
The crappie didn't corporate so we started bass fishing. Caught several spots and one largemouth. Total for the day was 23 spots one largemouth and one crappie that we kept. The bass were caught off a white spinnerbait with a chartreuse pork trailer and gold willow leaf. The crappie was caught off a white panfish assassin. The wind blew us all over the lake and the temp was dropping. Cold front must have pushed the crappie back to deeper water. Surface temp was 58. April 14th 2009...I fished Catoma today and didn't catch a single fish (of any species) Mainly targeted those crappie everybody has been catching, but they must have had a case of lock jaw. After about three hours of nothing I called it a day....
Lick Creek
I seen where to pit in at on Google earth but I cant seem to locate the place to pull out....
Mulberry Fork
I've been down the mullberry several times now in my canoe. I live nearby so it is fairly convenient for me to go. It is one of my favorite rivers to canoe on, as long as the water level is high enough. I love the peae and tranquility of being on the river, but at the same time it iclose enough to civilization that it remains conveient and reasonably safe, even for inexperienced or young ones. I highly recommend it for anyone loking for a relaxing overnite trip....Just went today 7/5/09. It rained like crazy this morning and the rapids were great. Easy enough for sit-on-top kayaks but still intense. Great place to go!!!...
