A lake close by is Ned Hole, and Turtle Pond is a pleasant location to visit for more than one day, Panell Creek Campground is a pleasant location to camp nearby. Turtle Pond is not the only site nearby, Yellow Pond is a nearby lake,       and Honeycomb Creek is a great whitewater spot close by. Turtle Pond frequently gets a large amount of rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and October is when it's the driest. Little Mountain is clearly visible from Turtle Pond; dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Scottsboro. Summertime at Turtle Pond comes with high temperatures in the 90's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Through the wintertime                  highs are generally in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Turtle Pond. This is a popular place for folks from Scottsboro, and a fine spot for whitewater paddling is South Sauty Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Yeah, come here to Turtle Pond for a great time.
