     Wiggins Lake is a glorious lake close to Touson Lake, and the Payne Lake Nature Trail offers hiking at its best. Wiggins Lake Dam is worth a visit since you're here, and lakes are such calm sites, why not take a look at Snag Lake. Courtyard Tuscaloosa is a good place to get some rest. Touson Lake is a wet spot that gets lots of rain; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain; October is when it's the driest.
Through the summertime months,
 
   highs commonly are in the 90's at Touson Lake; during summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Touson Lake. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things at Touson Lake. During your spree to Touson Lake you'll meet some folks from Tuscaloosa for sure, and if you're addicted to cool geologic characteristics try Toxy Bend. This lake is so wonderful.  
               If you need a place to stay Jameson Inn Tuscaloosa is a good choice, and camping at Payne Lake Westside Campground is always a wonderful experience.
If you wish for a little side spree, try Buzzards Bar; Touson Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Knox Hill RV Resort is a fine local campground.
