Summertime highs at Timmons Lake usually tend to be in the 90's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. Highs through the winter are regularly in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Timmons Lake. A large amount of rainfall falls at Timmons Lake; March is when you get the most rain here, and October meanwhile is the driest month. You feel that's enough?       Just getting warmed up. For you golfers we recommend nearby Riverside Country Club, and in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Flat Shoals River. Take a side trip to Barrow Creek, and there's some out of the ordinary stuff to see at Timmons Dam near Timmons Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A beautiful lake like Jones Lake right next door to Timmons Lake is a brilliant spot to explore, and whitewater                  paddling is perfect on Mulberry Creek. This lake is so wonderful. 3 Creeks RV Park is a good campground nearby; you'll probably meet some folks from Valley here. If you came for an overnight stay Blanton Creek Park is a great site to camp, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Lanett.
