At Thrift Dam right next door to Thrift Pond there are some out of the ordinary things to see; get drenched paddling on Cheaha Creek. A journey to Thrift Pond wouldn't
be complete without taking a look at Tally Spring, and there's pleasant hiking along the Odum Trail. Thrift Pond is a wet place that gets a good deal of precipitation; March is when you get the most rain here, and October is the month with the least moisture.
