There are some splendid whitewater spots on Wolf Creek, and Thornton Number 6 Lake is a site with many visitors from Gadsden. During the summer months highs here at Thornton Number 6 Lake get into the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's; through       the dark hours in the wintertime at Thornton Number 6 Lake temperatures descend to the 20's. And that's not all you can do here at Thornton Number 6 Lake. Lakeside Rv Park is a nice campground nearby, and if you come at the right time of year, Yellow Creek offers some good whitewater.
