This lake is so wonderful. Thompson Lake is a nice place to visit for more than one day, Lakeside Rv Park is a nice place to camp nearby, and paddling on Wolf Creek is so much fun. Having a pleasant time at Thompson Lake is painless. Leesburg Resorts is a wonderful local campground; if you need a spot to stay University       Inn and Suites is a glorious choice. High temperatures at Thompson Lake all through the months of summer are in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Thompson Lake temperatures sink to the 20's. Key West Inn Piedmont is a good place to get some rest, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check                  out close by Overton Lake.
