Sure, Lake Louise is in the vicinity, and hey, Darby Branch is a nice local stream. For the duration of the summertime months highs here at Thomas Lake get into the 90's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 50's with temperatures at Thomas Lake dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. If you       don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hatchet Creek, and you could always look at Oden Gap. Just can't get enough of Thomas Lake. You can see Merkl Mountain from Thomas Lake, and Weogufka Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Thomas Lake there are plenty of people from Talladega-Sylacauga; after a long day outdoors SUPER 8 MOTEL SYLACAUGA is a wonderful place to spend a night                  or two. If you came for an overnight stay Cedar Creek Campground is a great place to camp, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites SYLACAUGA is a great site to get some rest. Thomas Lake is a reasonably wet place generally with a large amount of rainfall; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and October meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
