     Swan Pond is always a pleasure to visit. Swan Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; March is when you get the most rain here, and August is when it's the driest. Swan Pond is a pleasant place to visit for more than one day, Monte Sano State Park is a pleasant place to camp nearby; at Swan Pond you always meet someone from Huntsville. Swan Pond beyond doubt is in the middle of a wonderful outdoors paradise. Barren Fork Creek is a stunning stream that is worth  
   checking out; Bradford Mountain can be spotted from Swan Pond.
You're perhaps addicted to lakes, The Cat Hole is one of those close by, and paddling on Cotaco Creek is so much fun. For the period of the months of summer here at Swan Pond, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's while night lows are commonly in the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Swan Pond dipping down into the 20's through
 
               winter nights. Ditto Landing is a great campground nearby; you must definitely go to Moon Bottom while here.
This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something next to Swan Pond? Williams Pond is in the neighborhood, and if you need a site to stay Baymont Inn and Suites is a magnificent choice. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful close by hotel is Country Hearth Inn Madison; glide down the rapids of Mill Creek in a kayak.

This lake is now Sun Lake and is a private community lake for residents. It used to be one of the best public pay access lakes in the state for large bass. Was more of a spring fed swamp back then and has been blasted and manicured with apartments and homes (waterfront) The old spring house and the original dam are still in place. Small boat ramp is available to residents no outboards electric only....
