     Camping is available at Monte Sano State Park, and whitewater paddling is great on Mill Creek. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Swan Pond. Baymont Inn & Suites Huntsville Airport/Madison is a fine place to get some rest; during your trip here you'll meet some people from Huntsville for sure. For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Swan Pond reach the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's. During the wintertime  
   highs are frequently in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Swan Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Country Hearth Inn Madison; Williams Pond is a wonderful lake nearby.
Swan Pond gets lots of water; March is the month that gets the most rain, and August on the other hand is the driest. Cotaco Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby, and unsurprisingly Barren Fork Creek is a gorgeous stream that is worth a visit. Camping at Ditto
 
               Landing is always a wonderful experience; the peak of Bradford Mountain can be made out from Swan Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. A charming lake like The Cat Hole right next door to Swan Pond is a glorious place to check out; Moon Bottom is a good place to check out while in the area. This lake is so wonderful.

This lake is now Sun Lake and is a private community lake for residents. It used to be one of the best public pay access lakes in the state for large bass. Was more of a spring fed swamp back then and has been blasted and manicured with apartments and homes (waterfront) The old spring house and the original dam are still in place. Small boat ramp is available to residents no outboards electric only....
