Leisure Isle is a tremendous campground nearby, and why not go to nearby Paterson Creek while you're here at Stewart Lakes. If you came for an overnight stay Whispering Springs Campground is a fine place to camp, and Coosa River is a magnificent whitewater spot close by. Stewart Lakes is a wet place that gets much rain; during March this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is October. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location.

| | Stewart Dam is an exciting thing to check out, and if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Elkahatchee Creek. Throughout the long summer days highs here at Stewart Lakes get into the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's.
