    Steiner Lake is a lake worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. There's always Steiner Lake Dam to pop by in the neighborhood of Steiner Lake; dry warm beds await you at Howard Johnson Inn Tuscaloosa Al. Steiner Lake really is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. If you need a site to stay Comfort Inn Tuscaloosa is a good choice. Through the summertime months at Steiner Lake highs are frequently in the 90's while night lows are commonly in the 70's.  
   Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Steiner Lake.
You'll hit upon a delightful lake called Pattons Lake near Steiner Lake. There's so much to do here at Steiner Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lakeside RV Park is a good site for that. All the water falling down from the sky makes Steiner Lake a wet place; the month with most of the rain is March, and the driest month is October.
 
               Do check out Skyview Lake in the vicinity of Steiner Lake, it's a wonderful lake, and the Payne Lake Nature Trail is a great hiking trail nearby.

This lake has been around for a long time. Years ago, before the I-20/59 interstate was built, it was indeed a great place to fish as I understand it. Now the lake is full of vegetation and difficult to fish or navigate a boat. Also difficult to enter and launch a boat as the roads leading in are washed out and muddy....
