Spring Lake is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Barclay RV Parking is a fine campground nearby, and whitewater paddling is fine on Scarham Creek. At Spring Lake you can see Sockfoot, and a short trip to Short Creek Falls is always worthwhile.
Microtel Inn and Suites of Albertville is a glorious location to get some rest, and a tremendous close by hotel is Jameson Inn Albertville. This lake is so wonderful. Aurora Lake is a nearby lake

| | that you could visit; lots of people from Albertville come here. Now, you may assume that's plenty but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Spring Lake. While you're here at Spring Lake, you could also take a look at picturesque Horsley Lake, and in case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Drum Creek.

of the year here at Spring Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 90's. All through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Spring Lake temperatures fall to the 30's.

| We have had a really bad drought this year. In fact, one of the most severe in history. I'm sorry you had that experience. Most locals can tell visitors about the condition of the creek, as any of us could have cautioned you about the weather conditions causing lack of creek water. Sincerely, Brenda F...I done this stretch yesterday (9/15/07) We started at 12:30 and got stranded at dark because the water level was too low. We did hit several class III to IV's but then the creek dried up about 2 miles before Guntersville. It sucked. If you go, leave in the morning and make sure the water level is up.... |

Parnell Creek RV Park

Tent Sites, RV Hookups, Pets OK, Fires OK, Store, Nearby Grocery, Pool... - 34 RV hookups......2 which is part of the Appalachian Trail. We purchased the park in 2007 and have added many of the amenities. This is a family owned campground. Every month we have a campground cookout. We also have activities planned for the major holidays.
At Parnell Creek RV Park we have 34 level gravel sites. There are 14 sites with 30 amp Full Hook Up and 8 sites with 50 amp Full Hook Up. We also have 10 sites with 30 amp Water/Electric and 2 site with 50 amp Water/Electric. We also have 2 full service cabins and 3 Rustic Cabins, plus tenting areas.
We are centrally located near Scottsboro, Grant, Huntsville and Guntersville. There are many lakes to fish in nearby and the fish are plentiful. We are also close to Cathedral Caverns, Unclaimed Baggage, NASA Space Center, Robert Trent Jones Golf Courses, Old McDonalds Petting Zoo and many other attractions.
