Chewacla State Park is a splendid local campground, and dry warm beds await you at Jameson Inn Auburn. If you came for an overnight stay Baker's Trailer Park and Campground is a perfect site to camp, and after a long day outdoors Auburn Marriott Opelika Hotel & Conference Center at Grand National is a magnificent site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. People from Auburn-Opelika love to come to Sougahatchee Lake; if you don't mind getting

| | soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sougahatchee Creek. A round of golf at nearby Rolling Hills Golf Course is a perfect way to kill some time, and lakes are such calm places, why not stop at Sougahatchee Lake. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Sougahatchee Lake. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Sougahatchee Lake are in the 20's. | |
