After a long day outdoors Wingate by Wyndham Tuscaloosa is a great place to spend a night or two, and let's not forget Beatty Branch which is a stream that you may come across while here. This lake is so wonderful. Sniders Lake is a fine spot to visit for more than one day, Payne Lake Westside Campground is a fine spot to camp nearby, and Lake Grace is a nearby lake that you could visit. Lots of precipitation falls at Sniders Lake; March is the wettest month
with most rain, and the driest month of the year is October. Lakeside RV Park is a pleasant campground nearby, and you can take a little tour to Lake Grace Dam since you're here at Sniders Lake.
If you need a place to stay Howard Johnson Inn Tuscaloosa Al is a great choice; since you're here, you could also stop at wonderful Blacks Lake. Throughout the long summer days, highs generally are in the 90's at Sniders Lake while overnight lows are mostly in the

70's. Highs all through the winter are commonly in the 50's; through the dark hours in the winter at Sniders Lake temperatures dip to the 30's. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a wonderful time here at Sniders Lake. Here at Sniders Lake there are plenty of people from Tuscaloosa, and the Payne Lake Nature Trail is a brilliant hiking trail nearby.

This lake has been around for a long time. Years ago, before the I-20/59 interstate was built, it was indeed a great place to fish as I understand it. Now the lake is full of vegetation and difficult to fish or navigate a boat. Also difficult to enter and launch a boat as the roads leading in are washed out and muddy....
