So much cool stuff to do here at Smith Lake, too good to be true. A great nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Guntersville, Al, and in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hog Creek. Thrasher Bluff is something you shouldn't miss if you're here at Smith Lake, and a delightful site for whitewater paddling is Shoal Creek. Smith Lake commonly gets       much precipitation; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and October is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Smith Lake you'll most likely meet some folks from Albertville; a pleasant place to camp here at Smith Lake is Honeycomb Campgrounds. Here at Smith Lake you can observe Georgia Mountain; Stoney Mountain Golf Club is a good golf course nearby. Guntersville Lake Super 8 Motel is a nice site                  to get some rest, and Smith Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Riverview Campground is a wonderful local campground. During the summer months at Smith Lake highs are regularly in the 80's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 60's.
