There's so much to do here at Shirley Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Leisure Isle is a good place for that, also Shirley Dam is worth taking a look at while you're here. During the days of summer at Shirley Lake temperatures are regularly in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures       plunge down into the 70's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's with temperatures at Shirley Lake dipping down into the 30's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Tallapoosa River; Scottish Inns Pike Road is a glorious place to get some rest. This place, Shirley Lake, it simply has so much outdoors fun stuff.
