Shelby Pond is a nice lake to visit. This lake is so wonderful. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at Shelby Pond. Shelby Pond is not the only place close by, Long Pond is a close by lake, and a good place to visit is Boxes Cove. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Scottsboro; if you came for an overnight stay Goosepond Colony Park and Camp is a great site to camp.

| | and glide down the rapids of South Sauty Creek in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Econo Lodge & Suites is a magnificent place to get some rest, and if you come at the right time of year, Stringer Creek offers some tremendous whitewater. You could also stop by Beasley Pond since you're here at Shelby Pond; it's close by, and a spree to Roseberry Bottoms revives the spirit.

here, and October is when it's the driest. High temperatures at Shelby Pond through the summertime months are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's
with temperatures at Shelby Pond dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. Dry Creek flows through this vicinity, and why not camp at Crawford RV Park since you're here at Shelby Pond.

 | We stayed at Crawford RV park for a week April 2006. A small family owned park which had WiFi was a great find. It was convenient to fishing and other activities. At Parnell Creek RV Park we have 34 level gravel sites. There are 14 sites with 30 amp Full Hook Up and 8 sites with 50 amp Full Hook Up. We also have 10 sites with 30 amp Water/Electric and 2 site with 50 amp Water/Electric. We also have 2 full service cabins and 3 Rustic Cabins, plus tenting areas.
We are centrally located near Scottsboro, Grant, Huntsville and Guntersville. There are many lakes to fish in nearby and the fish are plentiful. We are also close to Cathedral Caverns, Unclaimed Baggage, NASA Space Center, Robert Trent Jones Golf Courses, Old McDonalds Petting Zoo and many other attractions.
