     Shelby Lakes is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Gulf State Park is a fine local campground; dry warm beds await you at Palm Beach by Sugar Sands Realty. A great deal of rain falls at Shelby Lakes; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; October is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Romar Beach by Sugar Sands Realty is a tremendous site to get some rest, and Little Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop  
   by. You feel that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up.
Camping at Surfside RV Court is always a good experience, and if you get bored of Shelby Lakes you could also stop at nearby Oyster Bay. Near Shelby Lakes you hit upon a golf course called Gulf Links Golf Course, and people from Daphne-Fairhope love to come here. Through the summertime months at Shelby Lakes highs are ordinarily in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 70's.
 
               The winter comes with highs in the 50's with temperatures at Shelby Lakes dipping down into the 30's all through winter nights.

Weeks Bay wetlands are a magnet for tourists. It is a small estuarine embayment off Mobile Bay comprised of approximately three square miles of open shallow water, averaging 4. 5 feet deep. Forested wetlands form an extensive strip between floodplain swamps and upland forests. Weeks Bay is a critical nursery for fish, crustaceans, and shellfish. An interesting morning or afternoon can be spent visiting the estuary display center and strolling the Boardwalk through the wetlands.
