A wonderful place to camp here at Shannon Lake is Roland Cooper State Park, and if you need a location to stay Days Inn Monroeville is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Stallworths Black Pond is in the vicinity of Shannon Lake, and why not go to Shannon Lake Dam while you're here. You could also take a look at Finkleas Lake while you're here at Shannon Lake; it's close by, and Best Western Inn is a wonderful spot to get some rest.
