For the period of the warm days of summer at Salt Pond temperatures are ordinarily in the 90's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 50's with temperatures at Salt Pond dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Conecuh Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Salt Pond has       to offer, you can camp at Gantt Lake RV Park. Nearby lakes? Sure, Helms Pond is in close proximity to Salt Pond, and obviously Camp Creek flows through this area. So much fun stuff to do here at Salt Pond, too brilliant to be true. A good nearby hotel is Best Western Andalusia Inn. There's so much to do here at Salt Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Point A Park Campground is a delightful spot for that; don't leave Salt Pond without first going                  for a hike along the Lake Shore Trail. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Andalusia is a good place to spend a night or two, needless to say you could also visit Nellie Ponds since you're here; it's not far at all.
