     If you need a site to stay Hampton Inn HuntsvilleArsenal/S Pkwy is a delightful choice, and there are other sites here than Rock Pond, for example Lees Pond. And if that's not sufficient, there's heaps more to do close to Rock Pond. Rock Pond is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Monte Sano State Park is a tremendous local campground, and if you're here you can play some golf at Huntsville Municipal Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. What would  
   a site like Rock Pond be without out of the ordinary close by highlights like Lehmans Bluff; you'll meet a lot of people from Huntsville here. Paddling on Shoal Creek is so much fun; if you came to camp Ditto Landing is a great site to do that.
Lakes? Sure, Cribbs Pond is in the vicinity. Rock Pond commonly gets a lot of precipitation; March is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is August. For the period of the days of summer at Rock Pond
 
               temperatures are mostly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Rock Pond.
Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Cotaco Creek, and a great close by hotel is Radisson Suite Hotel Huntsville.
