     After a long day outdoors Hampton Inn Suites Opelika I85 Auburn Area is a fine place to spend a night or two, and Pope Lake Number Two is a perfect lake nearby. Summer at Pope Lake Number One comes with high temperatures in the 90's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 50's with temperatures at Pope Lake Number One dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.  
   If you came to camp Baker's Trailer Park and Campground is a good location to do that, and if you need a location to stay Econo Lodge Opelika is a splendid choice. Some nearby water includes Flake Creek, and a stunning lake like Lee County Public Lake is a delightful site to have a look at.
Now, you may imagine that's plenty but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Pope Lake Number One. Lee County Public Lake Dam is a place that is right next door to
 
               Pope Lake Number One, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Auburn-Opelika here. Paddling on Mulberry Creek is so much fun. Camping at Halawaka Campgrounds and Grocery is always a nice experience, and whitewater paddling is great on Little Uchee.
A large amount of precipitation falls at Pope Lake Number One; March is the month that gets the most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture.
