Polecat Springs

Tallapoosa River has a delightful 1.5-mile-from-beginning-to-end grade II-IV whitewater run nearby, the Thurlow Dam to boat ramp section. This section of Tallapoosa River is suitable for whitewater paddlers who have been whitewater paddling for some time but who are not yet prepared for the truly risky rapids. On Stone Creek close by you locate the 1.5-mile-from-beginning-to-end Oak Heights Road to Tallapoosa river segment of type II(IV) whitewater. This segment
of Stone Creek is good for those with some raft paddling knowledge. For your security you should always check the latest conditions before going raft paddling.
