Do stop by Pine Lake while you're in this part of Alabama. Get your heart beating on the nice whitewater of Cotaco Creek, and the scenery at Pine Lake Dam is scenic. Pine Lake gets much water; throughout the month of March you get the most rain around here, and October meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Jameson Inn Arab; if you came for an overnight stay Ditto Landing is a good place to camp.

course close by. You'll hit upon a pretty lake called Lynn Mill Pond near Pine Lake, and a splendid spot for whitewater paddling is Shoal Creek.
