     Some nearby water includes Beaverdam Creek, and a journey to Pickett Pond wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Sulcer Spring. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Point Mallard Campground is a perfect spot to do that, and there are some glorious whitewater spots on Flint Creek - East Fork.    Do visit Goose Pond near Pickett Pond, it's a delightful lake.
You'll come across a pretty lake called Buckeye Pond near Pickett Pond, and if you come at the right time of year, Mill Creek offers some magnificent whitewater. Much rainfall falls at Pickett Pond; the month with most of the rain is March, and August is when it's the driest. For the duration of the months of summer here at Pickett Pond, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's. During the
 
               dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Pickett Pond.

This lake is now Sun Lake and is a private community lake for residents. It used to be one of the best public pay access lakes in the state for large bass.
