Get yourself into a kayak and hit Hubbard Creek/Sipsey Fork, and don't leave Philpot Lake without first going for a hike along the Borden Creek Trail. Having a great time at Philpot Lake is simple. Moulton Days Inn is a glorious site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. There are some fine whitewater spots on Sipsey Fork; no need to travel far to stop by exciting stuff like Goat Bluff. Philpot Lake sees       pretty high levels of rainfall; most of the rain falls through March, and October meanwhile is the driest month. Summertime highs at Philpot Lake typically tend to be in the 90's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Philpot Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Haleyville Motel, and you can go for a hike on the Braziel Creek Trail.
