Do stop at Lanier Lake near Philips Lake, it's a lovely lake, and dry warm beds await you at Lanett-Days Inn. Philips Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; all through the month of March you get the most rain around here while October is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Riverside Country Club is a great golf course close by, and there's some interesting stuff to catch a glimpse       of at Phillips Dam near Philips Lake. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Philips Lake. A good place for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Philips Lake is Mulberry Creek, and Dardens Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. Get your heart beating on the tremendous whitewater of Flat Shoals River, and camping is available at Halawaka Campgrounds and Grocery. Lots of people from Valley come to Philips Lake.
