This is a popular site for folks from Valley, and paddling on Flat Shoals River is so much fun. Why not camp at Halawaka Campgrounds and Grocery while you're here at Philips Lake, and get covered with water paddling on Mulberry Creek. Philips Lake is a pretty wet place ordinarily with a great deal of rain; the month with most of the rain is March, and October on the other hand is the driest. Through       the summer months at Philips Lake highs are generally in the 90's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 50's with temperatures at Philips Lake dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Philips Lake is so good! If you need a place to stay Days Inn is a pleasant choice; after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Valley, Al is a brilliant spot to spend a night                  or two. A lake nearby is Riverside Number One Lake, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can have a look at Phillips Dam. This lake is so wonderful.
