Permans Lake regularly gets a great deal of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is March; October on the other hand is the driest. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Gadsden Hotel & Suites; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Line Creek. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can check out Perman Dam; if you come at the right time of year, Black River offers       some good whitewater. So much amusing stuff to do at Permans Lake, so little time. If you're here at Permans Lake and you like golf, you can stop at Hidden Oaks Golf Course, and camping at River Country Campground is always a wonderful experience. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites GADSDEN is a wonderful place to spend a night or two, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have                  a look at nearby Wessons Lake. Dunaway Mountain is clearly visible from Permans Lake. Lakes? Sure, Cardwell Lake is close by. This lake is so wonderful. High temperatures at Permans Lake throughout the summertime months are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are mostly in the 40's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Permans Lake temperatures sink to the 20's.
