A great spot to camp here at Payne Lake is Camp Mcdowell, and Super 8 Jasper is a splendid site to get some rest. Not far from Payne Lake, you'll stumble on Odums Mill Pond which is a lovely lake, and the summit of Cedrum Mountain can be seen from Payne Lake. So many fun things to do at Payne       Lake, so little time. Camping is available at Sleepy Holler Camp Ground, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Boshells Mill Pond. For the duration of the warm days of summer at Payne Lake highs are typically in the 90's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 50's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Payne Lake temperatures plunge to the 20's. This lake is so                  wonderful.
