Be careful coming to Overton Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. Lakes are such peaceful spots, why not stop by Thompson Lake right next door to Overton Lake, and a great close by hotel is University Inn and Suites. This lake is so wonderful. Key West Inn Piedmont is a tremendous       location to get some rest; a trip to Morehorn Spring will fill your soul with good feelings. There are other spots here than Overton Lake, for example Templeton Pond; Overton Lake is not far at all from Anniston-Oxford. High temperatures at Overton Lake throughout the warm months are in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Overton Lake dipping                  down into the 20's through winter nights. You can take a little tour to Overton Dam while you're here at Overton Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Yellow Creek. This lake is so wonderful. At Overton Lake you can catch a sight of Saddler Mountain, and you can stay the night at Lakeside Rv Park.
