Not far from Otter Pond you find Sand Point, and a swamp like Bear Bay in the neighborhood of Otter Pond has lots of interesting things to see. If you need a place to stay Best Western Andalusia Inn is a perfect choice, and nearby you discover the Lake Shore Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. A good close by hotel is Comfort Inn Andalusia, and Otter Pond is a great spot to visit for more than one       day, Gantt Lake RV Park is a great spot to camp nearby. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Otter Pond has to offer, you can camp at Point A Park Campground, and the Conecuh Trail is a nice hiking trail nearby. A good deal of rain falls at Otter Pond; March is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is October. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a pleasant time here at Otter Pond. Rattlesnake Branch is a gorgeous                  stream that is worth stopping at. For the period of the days of summer at Otter Pond highs are commonly in the 90's; the night is somewhat chillier of course, commonly in the 60's.
