     The beauty of Otter Pond attracts many people from all around. Otter Pond really is in the middle of a lovely outdoors paradise. This is a wonderful region for folks who like lakes. Mossy Ponds is a lake nearby, and if you need a site to stay Comfort Inn Andalusia is a good choice. Going for a hike on the Lake Shore Trail is always a delightful adventure, and why not a little side trip to Rattlesnake Branch. Stay the night at Point A Park Campground.
The
 
   high level of rainfall makes Otter Pond a rather wet location; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and October is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Otter Pond is a great site to visit for more than one day, Gantt Lake RV Park is a great site to camp nearby, and a tour to close by Sand Point is very relaxing. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Rome Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Best  
               Western Andalusia Inn.
There is a good hiking trail next to Otter Pond called the Conecuh Trail, and swamps like Bear Bay are fun to have a look at. For the duration of the months of summer at Otter Pond highs are mostly in the 90's, and the nighttime is a little colder of course, frequently in the 60's. All through the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Otter Pond.

I think that the Fla. Division Of Forestry should put a stop to people saving sights for days with a small tent before parking their unit on the sight.  People are tuned away that could be utilizing these sights and enjoying our beautiful area.  I realize the division is still collecting the same money for the sight.  But it is agravating to drive through hoping to park your unit and find half or more sights saved with a small tent and no one in them....
