Why not stop by Osment Pond if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. Osment Pond is not far at all from Auburn-Opelika, and if you're a golfer then a splendid nearby course is Rolling Hills Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Jackie Osment Dam is an interesting thing to check out, and if you've had enough of Osment Pond, Kilpatrick Lake is close by. | | into the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Osment Pond are in the 30's. Halawaka Campgrounds and Grocery is a great local campground, and swing by Little Halawaka Creek it's a glorious location to go to. Osment Pond is a reasonably wet place mostly with much rainfall; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is October. | |

Get soaked paddling on Mulberry Creek, and Baker's Trailer Park and Campground is a good campground nearby. You're perhaps interested in lakes, Montgomerys Lake is one of those close by; a great nearby hotel is Econo Lodge Opelika.
What a place this is for outdoors folks. Paddling on Little Uchee is so much fun, and Opelika-Days Inn is a glorious place to get some rest.
