If you're a golfer then a splendid close by course is Rolling Hills Golf Course; there are plenty of folks from Auburn-Opelika here at Osment Pond. Osment Pond is a wet place that gets a lot of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is commonly March, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is October. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Guest House International Hotel Inn, and if       you come at the right time of year, Little Uchee offers some tremendous whitewater. Econo Lodge Opelika is a magnificent location to get some rest, and there are some great whitewater spots on Mulberry Creek. You imagine that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Do stop by Jackie Osment Dam since you're here at Osment Pond. There's so much to do here at Osment Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Baker's Trailer Park and Campground is a great place                  for that. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Osment Pond has to offer, you can camp at Halawaka Campgrounds and Grocery, and let's not forget Little Halawaka Creek which is a stream that you may come across while here. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Osment Pond. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's.
