If you came for an overnight stay Gantt Lake RV Park is a great site to camp, and Alligator Pond is a delightful lake close by. For the period of the long summer days here at Open Pond, high temperatures frequently get into the 90's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's; overnight lows in the 30's for Open Pond.       Take a hike on the Conecuh Trail, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Andalusia is a great place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Open Pond is right by the Lake Shore Trail; a good nearby hotel is Best Western Andalusia Inn. Open Pond usually gets much rainfall; the wettest month of the year is mostly March, that's the one that rains the most, and October meanwhile is the driest month.
