You'll need more than a day to explore everything Nelson Lake has to offer, you can camp at Hilltop Campground, and a splendid close by hotel is Americas Best Value Inn-Heflin. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the area       right next door to Nelson Lake has to offer. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Brady Lake; Key West Inn Roanoke is a great place to get some rest.
