Go for a hike on the Conecuh Trail, and a fine close by hotel is Best Western Andalusia Inn. Camping at Gantt Lake RV Park is always a great experience. Camping is available at Point A Park Campground, and swing by Persimmon Creek it's a nice place to stop at. The high level of rainfall makes Nellie Ponds a relatively wet site; March is the wettest month with most rain, and October       meanwhile is the driest month. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Andalusia is a good location to spend a night or two; don't leave Nellie Ponds without first going for a hike along the Lake Shore Trail. All through the days of summer, highs generally are in the 90's at Nellie Ponds. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's.
