This lake is so wonderful. On a glorious day at Moulton City Lake you can take a hike along the Braziel Creek Trail, and Moulton City Lake is not far at all from Decatur. If the weather is pretty, you get a perfect panorama of Sinking Creek Hill from Moulton City Lake; do take a look at Irving Pond, it's a beautiful lake. Moulton City Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; March       is when you get the most rain here; October is the month with the least moisture. Chalybeate Spring is an inspiring spot to take a look at during your stay, and Moulton City Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Joe Wheeler State Park is a splendid local campground. For the period of the days of summer highs here at Moulton City Lake get into the 90's. Summer night lows drop down to the 60's. All through the wintertime the highs are mostly                  in the 40's with temperatures at Moulton City Lake dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. A good close by hotel is SUPER 8 MOTEL - FLORENCE, and an exciting thing to pop by next to Moulton City Lake is Masterson Mill Lake Dam. There is a perfect hiking trail in close proximity to Moulton City Lake called the Borden Creek Trail, and Early Branch is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Sipsey Fork. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the vicinity of Moulton City Lake will keep you coming back time and again.
