Mossy Ponds is a rather wet place generally with a good deal of rainfall; during March this area sees the most rain while October is typically the driest month. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Mossy Ponds. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's with temperatures at Mossy Ponds dipping down into the 30's  
   during winter nights. After a long day outdoors Best Western Andalusia Inn is a brilliant site to spend a night or two, and not far from Mossy Ponds you'll locate Gum Pond which is a beautiful lake.
The Lake Shore Trail is a glorious hiking trail in the neighborhood of Mossy Ponds, and why not stop at a swamp like Gum Swamp if you're here at Mossy Ponds. On a tremendous day at Mossy Ponds you can take a hike along the Conecuh Trail. You'll need more than a day
 
               to discover everything Mossy Ponds has to offer, you can camp at Gantt Lake RV Park. Man, is there plenty of cool things to do close to Mossy Ponds. There's so much to do here at Mossy Ponds that you need to camp here for a while, Point A Park Campground is a tremendous location for that.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn Andalusia is a pleasant choice, and there are other sites here than Mossy Ponds, for example Otter Pond.

I think that the Fla. Division Of Forestry should put a stop to people saving sights for days with a small tent before parking their unit on the sight.  People are tuned away that could be utilizing these sights and enjoying our beautiful area.  I realize the division is still collecting the same money for the sight.  But it is agravating to drive through hoping to park your unit and find half or more sights saved with a small tent and no one in them....
