Carters Lake is a lake close by, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites ANNISTON/OXFORD is a great site to get some rest. Lakes are wonderful; Trudy Lake is a lake that's next to Morgan Lake; a brilliant spot nearby is Abel Gap. Summertime highs at Morgan Lake commonly tend to be in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime this place       gets highs in the 50's, and night lows throughout the wintertime for Morgan Lake tend to be in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Salt Creek offers some fine whitewater; Morgan Lake is a magnificent location to visit for more than one day, Cheaha Resort State Park is a magnificent location to camp nearby. You'll meet a lot of people from Anniston-Oxford here; there's glorious hiking along the Odum Trail.
