     There's so much to do here at Moon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Payne Lake Westside Campground is a perfect spot for that; a nice close by hotel is Courtyard Tuscaloosa. This lake is so wonderful. This is a delightful vicinity for people who like lakes. Big Lake is a lake in the vicinity, and at Moon Lake you always meet someone from Tuscaloosa. If you need a spot to stay Jameson Inn Tuscaloosa is a splendid choice; since you might be in a lake  
   visiting mood you can always visit close by Cypress Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Knox Hill RV Resort, and you might also want to pay a visit to Bald Bar while you're here at Moon Lake. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff at Moon Lake. Don't leave Moon Lake without first going for a hike along the Payne Lake Nature Trail, and Big Sandy Cutoff is something you shouldn't miss since you're here. For the duration
 
               of the warmest time of the year here at Moon Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 90's. All through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 70's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's; nighttime lows in the 30's for Moon Lake.
Why not take a look at Big Cypress Lake Dam while you're here, and let's not forget Big Sandy Creek which is a stream that you may run into while you're here. Moon Lake mostly gets a large amount of precipitation; all through the month of March you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is October.
