Why not camp at Camp Laney since you're here at Moon Lake, and you'll possibly meet some folks from Summerville here. If you came for an overnight stay De Soto State Park is a fine spot to camp; De Soto Falls is a brilliant local attraction. This lake is so wonderful. | | night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 40's; during the dark hours in the winter at Moon Lake temperatures fall to the 20's.

Be careful coming to Moon Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. Looking for a perfect spree? Little River Canyon National Preserve is pretty right next door to Moon
Lake, and Little River - West Fork is a tremendous whitewater spot nearby. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Fort Payne, and if you get bored of Moon Lake you could also pop by close by Republic Lake. The high level of precipitation makes Moon Lake a pretty wet site; most of the rain falls during March, and the driest month is October.
