This lake is so wonderful. All through the days of summer here at Montgomerys Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 90's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Montgomerys Lake. So many fun things       to do at Montgomerys Lake, so little time. Montgomerys Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Halawaka Campgrounds and Grocery is a glorious local campground, and there are plenty of people from Auburn-Opelika here at Montgomerys Lake. For you golfers we recommend nearby Rolling Hills Golf Course, and if you came to camp Baker's Trailer Park and Campground is a glorious place to do that. All the water falling down from the sky makes Montgomerys                  Lake a wet site; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is October. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Flat Shoals River; if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Opelika is a wonderful choice. If you come at the right time of year, Little Uchee offers some great whitewater, unsurprisingly you could also check out Hincle Lake if you're here; it's not far at all.
